Exceptional Artist Lacey Gage, Two Of A Kind Video

August 24th, 2010

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Lacey Gage (formerly of The Liking Strikes) brings striking natural musical talent, purified energy and soulful breath in one compact, purely comfortable and not-to-be-ignored package. Ranging from Chicago-style bluesy rasp to honey-sweet innocent ballads, Lacey brings her diverse audience an enormous, dynamic range that keeps them pleasantly on edge, waiting for the next turn of the musical corner. Captivating with her remarkably engaging voice and down-home comfortable stage presence, Lacey’s musical orchestration never overwhelms but always ensures either a lushly complex or simply pure listening experience.

A founding member of the closely watched indie band, The Liking Strikes, Ms. Gage branched out on a much anticipated solo career in early 2009, releasing “Well on Your Way” late that summer. Masterfully produced by the unheralded Carter Stewart, Ms. Gage’s voice stands not out from, but in splendid harmony with her backing tracks that un-bashfully punch up the intensity of her message or simply sit in full recline, allowing her voice to resonate without interference. Whether she plays off Mr. Stewart’s delightfully complex backing or delivers an engaging line against stark, Hendrix-like guitar riffs, you can’t help but fall for Lacey Gage and walk off just wanting more of what she left on the stage. As one reviewer so creatively stated, “If you took Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette, Taylor Swift and Loretta Lynn and sweetened them all up with a spray of whip cream and a shot of Southern Comfort, you’d have Lacey Gage with a smile.” — reposted from “about lacey gage”, Lacey Gage Web Site

This is a video of one of my most recent projects. It’s a homemade gravity drip feed waste oil burning heater constructed from an old forty gallon tall water heater. It will burn used motor oil, vegetable oil, heating oil and a variety of other fuel oils.
